World Trade Center Attacks - Footage

As everyone knows, the 13 year anniversary of the World Trade Center Terror Attacks is just around the bend. I have decided I'd make it my part to pay homage to the heroes and victims of this day of terror by expressing my words of respect and showing some World Trade Center footage through videos and pictures.

One thing many people don't know about me is that, I served in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) from 2003 to 2004. But my service was not obligatory. The fact is, I volunteered to go. Why did I volunteer? You know? the usual reasons. Rage, patriotism, pride, love for country. The same reasons so many others at that time volunteered. But please, refrain from calling me a hero. I am not the hero here. I am talking about the true HEROES of 9/11 who risked and even sacrificed their own lives to save others during the terror attacks.

What Were Your Actions on September 11, 2001?

On that day, I was in the process of getting ready for another day at work. I had been living in the city of Salem in the state of Oregon. I was on my way, when I made a quick stop at this mini-mart to make a purchase before the start of my work day. The store clerk had been watching a breaking news story on the monitor screen there close to the checkout register. The only thing I knew was a commercial jet airliner had crashed into the World Trade center.

Nor did anyone else know what was happening. But the local TV networks decided it was important enough to interrupt normal scheduled programming for that time of the day. And I did not find out what really happened until later that day at work. I remember I was speechless. This took me by surprise. How could anyone get away with this here in America? I was shocked. But the shock soon turned to anger and rage.

History of Events

On the 11th of September 2001, 9 members of the terrorist group called Al Qaeda hijacked four commercial jet airliners. In Positive Conclusion

Not everything here needs to be so doom and gloom. So, I will give you the positive out of this story. They are constructing the new WTC. It is being called One World Trade Center. From the ground to its spire, it measures 1,776 feet high making it the largest skyscraper in the Western Hemisphere and the FOURTH largest in the world.
